The Pet's and Pal's 4-H Club is a group for kids and teens
who want to work with their pets. Our club is in
Granville County, and we work with a variety of animals
including dogs, cats, and goats. We hope to do more
pets someday such as chickens and expand our group
with more members. We have also gone camping as a
group, visited a dog agility trial, visited a cattery, gone
to a goat show and we hope to do a community service
project with an animal rescue.  Our younger members,
called Cloverbuds, have classes about pets in general.
We've also been stewarding at cat shows as a fund
raiser, which has been a wonderful experience for
everyone in pets.  Of course we all like each other so
much that we find excuses to have parties and get
togethers.

News-

The Pet's and Pal's 4-H Club just recently
finished stewarding the February 16-17 TICA Cat
Show at the Raleigh Fair Grounds. Megan Reid
entered her Ragdoll kitten, Ada, into the show. In
one of the rings she placed 3rd Best of Breed in
the kitten class. As stewards the members are
required to sanitize the ring cages as each cat
leaves. It is a very important job to keep down
on diseases. As always they fed the group very
well for lunch, and they earned club funds. It was
a good experience for everyone and they had a
great time.
